Jennifer Aniston says, “Bring a basket of bread.”

Recently in an interview people, the friend The star shared that she is changing Her Longest Low-Carb Diet In favor of cutting yourself some slack.

“[I] “Started giving myself a break, allowing myself to eat pasta, a sandwich,” Aniston told the outlet. “Everyone is very afraid of the bread basket, and I’m not afraid anymore. As long as it’s all done in moderation.”

Aniston’s protein- and vegetable-heavy diet is one she’s talked about before. In a 2016 article ITIn this article, she explained how a typical day of eating includes salad, egg whites and avocado. She admitted that it was her then-husband, Justin Theroux, who finally convinced her to include pasta as a rare treat. “I don’t know if I should thank him or hate him for that,” he joked at the time.

same year, he told yahoo about her diet, “I’m good at keeping my starches to a minimum. I don’t like to eat ‘white’, and I’ll always cut down on some bread if I’m trying to slim down for something special.

Now, however, pasta and bread are sometimes not treats—and experts give Aniston’s verdict a thumbs up.

“Eating a variety of foods containing protein, carbs, and fat is important because each macronutrient plays a unique role in helping our bodies and minds function optimally,” Alyssa Rumsey, MS, RD, nutrition therapist, and author of unpasteurized food, tells Yahoo Life. “Plus, carbs are satisfying, and they taste good! If you try to avoid carbs, you’ll find yourself constantly craving them, which is distracting and leads to an unhealthy relationship with food.” On the other hand, when a food is not off limits, any intense craving or obsessive thoughts about the food will be less likely to pop up in your mind. Chances are, you will eat a balanced diet without thinking it through.”

Dr. Amy Lee, Head of Nutrition for nusific, says, “Carbohydrates are our body’s main source of energy, but you need to feed your body the right carbs to fuel the right ones. Returning to a more balanced diet can help you feel more energetic and ensure While you may be getting the right amount of nutrients each day, it’s important to understand the portions in order to have a truly balanced diet.

While there’s certainly no reason to fear bread baskets, Dr. Lee explains that to get the most satisfaction from eating carbs, you should focus on those that are high in fiber.

“Generally there’s nothing wrong with bread,” she notes, “but sometimes, the type of bread we eat is an issue. Bread made with white flour and sugar, which makes up most of our diet. portions, not the healthiest option. And when we’re at a Mexican restaurant, we can eat a basket of chips and salsa and then eat three to four more tortillas that come with our entrée. It’s carbs It’s mindless food that gets us into trouble.”

Still, Rumsey cautions that it’s never a good idea to cut out any food group entirely.

She tells Yahoo Life, “While one may be able to restrict carbs in the short term, eventually this restriction causes a boomerang effect and our body’s starvation response wins out, usually bingeing on carbohydrate-rich foods.” It’s kind of rude behavior.”

Luckily, Aniston doesn’t have to worry about it anymore: There are no food rules for this star.
