Moncada limited his three-RBI performance when he tied two with out-off reliever Kyle Funkauser (7-4).
Chicago scored three times in the seventh down 4–0. Moncada and Gavin Sheets hit run-off reliever Jose Urena and Tim Anderson hit an RBI single off Alex Lang.
Geimer Candelario hits an RBI single in the fourth off Giolito. The Tigers scored three more runs off Keschel in the seventh.
