Latest: Denver’s Ball Arena recovers to increase attendance

Denver’s Ball Arena is OK to increase attendance

The home of the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets will now allow 10,500 fans for playoff games, which is 57.3% of the total venue capacity at Ball Arena.

Kronke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) announced on Wednesday that it had received approval to increase attendance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, along with the Denver Department of Public Health and the Environment.

Capacity for the Avalanche was limited to 7,750 fans in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as they entered the first round series with St. Louis. It was the same caliber when the Nuggets split the first two home games against Portland.
